Your baby is about the size of a pomelo.

About 29 cm long and 500 g. Typical sizes; every baby grows at their own pace.

What’s happening this week

Your baby's lungs are growing the tiny branches they'll need to breathe after birth. Your baby can hear sounds from outside, like voices and music. The skin is still thin and a little see-through.

Changes in your body

Your feet may feel bigger and you may need looser footwear. Some women notice a little yellowish fluid leaking from the breasts, called colostrum. Snoring and a blocked nose are common too.

Talk and sing to your baby

Your baby may be getting used to your voice. Talking, reading or singing a lori is a lovely way for you and your family to bond before birth.

Bleeding, fluid leaking, fewer baby movements, a bad headache, blurred vision or sudden swelling: call your doctor or hospital now. In an emergency, call 112.
