10 weeks pregnant

Your baby is about the size of a java plum.
About 3 cm long. Typical sizes; every baby grows at their own pace.
What’s happening this week
Your baby's most important organs have formed and will now grow and mature. Tiny tooth buds are forming under the gums. The fingers and toes are separating.
Changes in your body
Your waist may start to thicken and your clothes may feel snug. You may see the veins on your breasts and tummy more clearly. Some women get headaches; tell your doctor about any headache that is severe or won't go away.
Ask about first-trimester screening
Many doctors offer a scan and blood test between 11 and 14 weeks to check for some conditions. Ask your doctor if this is right for you and when to book it.
Bleeding, fluid leaking, fewer baby movements, a bad headache, blurred vision or sudden swelling: call your doctor or hospital now. In an emergency, call 112.
