27 weeks pregnant

Your baby is about the size of a cauliflower.
About 36 cm long and 875 g. Typical sizes; every baby grows at their own pace.
What’s happening this week
This is the last week of the second trimester. Your baby has regular sleep and wake times now. The brain is very active, and you may feel your baby's hiccups as small, rhythmic jerks.
Changes in your body
You may feel short of breath as the womb presses up under your ribs. Back pain and tiredness may come back. A severe headache, blurred vision or sudden swelling of your face or hands needs a doctor straight away.
Know the warning signs
Call your doctor or go to hospital for bleeding, fluid leaking, severe tummy pain, severe headache, blurred vision, or if your baby moves less than usual.
Bleeding, fluid leaking, fewer baby movements, a bad headache, blurred vision or sudden swelling: call your doctor or hospital now. In an emergency, call 112.
