29 weeks pregnant

Your baby is about the size of a small pumpkin.
About 38 cm long and 1.15 kg. Typical sizes; every baby grows at their own pace.
What’s happening this week
Your baby's muscles and lungs keep maturing. The head is growing to make room for the developing brain. Kicks and jabs may be strong and easy to feel.
Changes in your body
Constipation, heartburn and piles may bother you as your womb presses on your stomach and bowels. Some women feel breathless on the stairs. Take it slowly and rest when you need to.
Plan your hospital
Decide which hospital you'll go to and save their number in your phone. Know the quickest route and how you'll get there at night.
Bleeding, fluid leaking, fewer baby movements, a bad headache, blurred vision or sudden swelling: call your doctor or hospital now. In an emergency, call 112.
