Your baby is about the size of a coconut.

About 41 cm long and 1.5 kg. Typical sizes; every baby grows at their own pace.

What’s happening this week

Your baby's senses are working, and they can turn their head from side to side. Your baby is putting on weight, and the arms and legs are filling out. Space in the womb is getting tighter.

Changes in your body

Braxton Hicks may come more often. They are usually painless and irregular. If tightenings become regular or painful, or you have fluid leaking or bleeding, call your doctor or hospital.

Keep track of your baby's pattern

Your baby still has room to move. If your baby moves less than usual, call your doctor or hospital now, don't wait.

Bleeding, fluid leaking, fewer baby movements, a bad headache, blurred vision or sudden swelling: call your doctor or hospital now. In an emergency, call 112.
