33 weeks pregnant

Your baby is about the size of a pineapple.
About 44 cm long and 1.9 kg. Typical sizes; every baby grows at their own pace.
What’s happening this week
Your baby's bones are hardening, but the skull stays soft so it can shape gently during birth. The immune system is developing, with help from you through the placenta.
Changes in your body
You may feel hot more easily, especially in summer. Swollen ankles and tiredness are common. Drink plenty of water, coconut water or chaas, and rest somewhere cool when you can.
Pack your hospital bag
Pack your reports, ID, loose clothes, sanitary pads and a phone charger, plus soft clothes, a cap and a cotton wrap for your baby.
Bleeding, fluid leaking, fewer baby movements, a bad headache, blurred vision or sudden swelling: call your doctor or hospital now. In an emergency, call 112.
