Your baby is about the size of a jackfruit.

About 51 cm long and 3.3 kg. Typical sizes; every baby grows at their own pace.

What’s happening this week

Your baby is full term. The brain is still growing and will keep growing fast after birth. New skin is forming under the outer layer.

Changes in your body

You may feel impatient and ready to meet your baby. Family may give lots of advice; take what helps and leave the rest. Keep going for your check-ups and keep noticing your baby's movements.

Your due date is only a guide

Only a few babies arrive on the due date itself. Most come in the weeks just before or after it.

Bleeding, fluid leaking, fewer baby movements, a bad headache, blurred vision or sudden swelling: call your doctor or hospital now. In an emergency, call 112.
