Your baby is about the size of a raisin.

Your baby is about the size of a raisin.

About 1.6 cm long. Typical sizes; every baby grows at their own pace.

What’s happening this week

Your baby is already making small movements, though you won't feel them for months. Fingers and toes are starting to form. All the main organs are in place and growing.

Changes in your body

Your breasts may feel full and tender, and your bras may feel tight. Nausea and tiredness are often strong around now. Mild cramps can happen as the womb stretches, but heavy bleeding or severe pain needs a doctor quickly.

Eat what you can keep down

If nausea makes eating hard, don't worry about perfect meals for now. Simple food like dal-chawal, curd or a roti with a little sabzi is fine. Tell your doctor if you are losing weight.

Bleeding, fluid leaking, fewer baby movements, a bad headache, blurred vision or sudden swelling: call your doctor or hospital now. In an emergency, call 112.
