Your baby is about the size of a dragon fruit.

About 15 cm long and 240 g. Typical sizes; every baby grows at their own pace.

What’s happening this week

A creamy white coating called vernix is starting to cover your baby's skin to protect it. Your baby's senses of taste, touch and hearing are developing. Sleep and wake times are starting to form.

Changes in your body

You may feel aches in your hips, back or groin as your body makes room. Stretch marks may show on your tummy or breasts, and the skin may feel dry and itchy. Itching on your hands and feet is different, so tell your doctor.

Add iron-rich foods

Green leafy sabzi, chana, rajma, jaggery and dates add iron. Having them with foods like amla, lemon or guava may help your body use it.

Bleeding, fluid leaking, fewer baby movements, a bad headache, blurred vision or sudden swelling: call your doctor or hospital now. In an emergency, call 112.
